Jennie Cook, the chef and proprietor of Double Dutch restaurant, has alerted us that her wine pairing series will premiere this month. The first event will feature wines from the award winning Agua Dulce Vineyards in Santa Clarita Valley harmoniously matched with a six-course gourmet dinner.

Cost: $60 per person for Slow Food members; $75 per person for nonmembers. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Slow Food.

First Course: Chef’s Choice Amuse-Bouche, Sparkling Wine Aperitif
Second Course: Crab Bisque or Smoked Idaho Trout Canapés, 2002 Angeles Crest Sauvignon Blanc
Third Course: Organic Green Salad with Herb-Encrusted Artisan Chévre, 2001 Angeles Crest Chardonnay
Fourth Course: Wild Mushroom Ravioli, 2002 Angeles Crest Sangiovese
Fifth Course: Moroccan Seasoned Lamb Chop with Dried Fruits, 2001 Angeles Crest Syrah
Sixth Course: Pastry Chef’s Dessert Sampling
