A Great Day at Weiser Family Farms

One of our members has posted her impressions and photos of the Weiser Family Farms tour and lunch this past weekend. Perhaps the most telling quote is this:

Someone said, “Notice how small everyone’s vocabulary has gotten?” as everyone was reduced to saying “Oh wow,” “Oh my God” or just “Ohhhhh.”

  In anticipation of the 2012 reauthorization process, Dan Imhoff has revised Food Fight, his clear and helpful guide to the Farm Bill for concerned citizens, food activists, and the media. The Food Fight website features information about the book and the Farm Bill, and will be growing as Congress begins work on this important legislation in February and March.

• 

  The Los Angeles Food Policy Task Force has released its report and supporting documents. You can download the complete report or review the executive summary on the Good Food LA website.
