When we saw Suzanne Goin at Vibiana recently at the public unveiling of Los Angeles’s food policy agenda, she didn’t talk about the delicious items she brought to the event, or what was the latest news at Lucques or AOC or Tavern. Instead, she talked about a fundraiser dear to her heart, “L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade.”
Suzanne, along with her husband, David Lentz, and her partner, Caroline Styne, invite Slow Food Los Angeles members and friends to help them raise money for the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for childhood cancer research. An incredible array of chefs and mixologists including David Tanis (Chez Panisse), Judy Rodgers (Zuni Cafe), Zoe Nathan (Huckleberry), Nancy Silverton (Pizzeria and Osteria Mozza), and Neal Fraser (Grace, BLD) will lend their talents to make the evening a special one.
When: Sunday, November 7, 2010, from noon until 4:00pm
Where: Culver Studios, Los Angeles
Cost: $150 general admission. VIP admission and sponsorship opportunities are also available.
Evan Kleiman recently talked with Suzanne about the event: Their conversation is available online as a Q&A on the Good Food blog.
Suzanne Goin and David Lentz have been longtime supporters of Slow Food and good, clean, and fair food in southern California, and we are happy to help spread the word about an event that’s especially important to them.
