We’re hearing reports this morning that a petition was made available at today’s Hollywood Farmers’ Market because the market’s permit is in jeopardy. Blogging.la has a report, and we’ve contacted SEE-LA to ask about these developments and how market patrons can make their concerns known to the appropriate authorities. As soon as we have more information we’ll share it here, with our email list, and via Twitter.
[Update 5 December: KTLA has more on the matter, as does ABC-7, which may stem from the L.A. Film School’s desire to have more direct access to its parking lot on Sunday mornings. We’re waiting to hear from SEE-LA about how best we can help keep the market in its current location.]
[Evening update: For those of our members and friends on Facebook, a “Protect Hollywood Farmers Market” page has been established. “Like” the page and you’ll receive updates via Facebook and join others who object to the closure of the market.]
