The City of Santa Monica and the Santa Monica Farmers’ Market have announced the first in their 2009 Quarterly Panel Series: Where the Good Things Are: Growing, Buying and Cooking the Best in California
When: Thursday, February 26, 2009 from 7:00pm-9:00pm

Members of the panel will discuss the philosophy and logistics of getting fresh produce from the farm to the fork. The discussion will be moderated by Evan Kleiman, the chef/owner of Angeli Caffe, host of “Good Food” on KCRW, and the founder of Slow Food L.A. Participants will include:
Alex Weiser, Weiser Family Farm

Michael Cimarusti, Chef, Providence Restaurant
Enjoy the panel discussion and stay afterward for market treats prepared by Chef Cimarusti.
Future panels are tentatively scheduled for May 14 (“Lawns to Lunches”), August 27 (“Farming for the Next Generation”) and November 5.
