+ The Child Nutrition Act governs school meal programs that 31 million children every school day.
+ The current law gives schools roughly $1 per meal to pay for food. That's not enough to provide children with the food they need to stay healthy and perform well in the classroom.
+ Congress will address school lunch in the coming weeks. Let your elected representatives know that you want Congress to invest in healthier food, strengthen nutrition standards, and equip schools to buy directly from local farms.
